Dr. Harry and Monica Null are pleased to support the Diocese of Pittsburgh on an ongoing basis. They have lived in Pittsburgh nearly all of their lives, are grateful for what they have, and strongly believe in giving back to their community.
The Nulls are long-time members of Saint Sebastian Parish in Ross Township; they have been parishioners there for 40 of their 45 years of marriage. They feel fortunate to have known many good priests over those 40 years, among them Father Paul (now Bishop) Bradley.
Monica is very active in ministries within the parish—she volunteers with the Ladies of Charity and the bereavement group, she is an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, and she spends time every year helping with the parish festival. She is currently a volunteer at Vincentian Home as well. After a lifetime dedicated to professional service, Harry enjoys a physically active retirement, playing tennis and golf. The Nulls have one grown son.
Monica is grateful for her 16 years of Catholic education, from grade school through Seton Hill College. Harry attended Saint Vincent College in Latrobe. Along with supporting both of those schools on a regular basis, the Nulls support the Saint Sebastian capital campaign for church renovations, and the annual fund for the school and the church.
Dr. and Mrs. Null extend their generosity to the diocese as well, through their annual support of the Parish Share Program. They have also established an endowed fund in their names to benefit the Bishop's Education Fund and the Shepherd's Care Fund in the diocesan foundation. The Bishop's Education Fund provides scholarship aid for Catholic school children, and the Shepherd's Care Fund supports retired priests and the education of seminarians. The Nulls consider their giving a payback for all of the good that they have had in their lives.
The Nulls are looking forward to being part of the pilgrimage to Poland with Bishop Zubik in July.
